Manuela Uggiano | Grrrl on the Road
Book design and illustrations for Manuela Uggiano's memoir, "Grrrl on the Road", a 400-page coffee table style book based on her Manupalooza travel blog. The book content is derived from various sources, such as blog entries, band interviews, photo blogs, articles and websites. These different content types are distinguished through visual treatments reflecting the original formats. The design's hand-crafted aesthetic reflects Manuela's punk roots and aims to convey her energy, enthusiasm, and DIY mentality.
I created a range of decorative tape designs to add to the DIY/zine look and feel.
The chapter themes are highlighted through playful illustrations.
